PROCESS MOISTURE ANALYZER

SUMMARY:

The HUMITRACE process moisture analyzer determines the trace moisture in gases, even in aggressive media with, for example, chlorine-containing components.
The absolute measurement is based on the absorption of water present on a phosphorus pentoxide (P2O5) layer and subsequent decomposition of the water. A defined voltage is applied to the sensor which changes significantly with the decomposition of the water. This change is related to the trace moisture and is evaluated accordingly. This absolute mea- surement is possible in all gaseous media which do not react with phosphoric acid. These are almost all non-alkaline reacting gases, including the low-carbohydrate. The integrated patented sensor check checks during operation whether the required accuracy is maintained.
