The water content is an important parameter for the quality of the manufactured product when processing high-quality engineering plastics. The measurement should be done quickly and easily. The DWF-MAT-40 measures the water content in granular solids and has been developed for the plastics processing industry. The device is robust and compactly designed and can be easily transported. It can be used directly at the production site. As an absolute measuring device, no calibration work is required for different plastics. The calcium hydride measurement method is used as the measuring principle with the following reaction: CaH2 + 2H2O -> Ca (OH) 2+ 2H2.
